Our topographic map pattern deep engraved on black linen micarta scales for some added texture. Micarta scales are engraved using our Co2 laser in the shop.
One of the many things we take pride in is providing engravings that last. These engravings will not rub off, but still feels good to the touch. Adds just enough texture to feel good in the hand.
Due to the nature of micarta, your scales may swell a little bit in humidity, or shrink in more dry climates. And you may experience a tighter fit in very dry climates as your micarta fluctuates. Your scales may vary in appearance, which is expected and part of the unique nature of micarta.
Micarta Maintenance: After engraving, the micarta scales are cleaned up with mild soap/water and a toothbrush. Since this removes all the moisture, they are lightly oiled for that nice shiney look. So if your scales have been sitting for a while, just a little touch of knife oil will do the trick. Bare in mind that while micarta scales can dry over time, they also absorb liquids which can potentially lead to a change in color. You can always clean them and rub in a little bit of your favorite knife oil to freshen it up.
**Both Black and Satin blade options are made with CPM S45VN blade steel.
Uses hardware from stock knife unless you purchase the TI hardware kit with it.
There are many small parts and pieces on the Para 2. It is NOT easy to take apart. Disassemble at your own risk. Also keep in mind that almost every knife manufacturer provides a list of specific actions that could void the manufacturer’s warranty.
